Day 5: 1 John 4:4-6

4 Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world; therefore what they say is from the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us, and whoever is not from God does not listen to us. From this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Day 5: 1 John 4:4-6 // It's really easy to fall into the world view. With all the things that are happening....with the teaching and vision of the world saying you have to have success in the world through your job, education, money. It's easy to fall into the self-help thinking and the selfish, it's all about me type of vibe.  We are in the day of self this and self that...because it's about me.

In the scriptures of 1 John 4:4-6 we see that we are children of God. We don't see or think like the ones that are of the world. We are different, we cannot expect everyone to hear and understand what we are saying when we speak of Godly things. We can trust that God will allow those to hear and understand our way.

There are times when people that we love don't get it. Some of them sit next to us on Sunday morning. Yes, some of them are even preaching the Word, however they don't truly believe what they are reading. We have to have God's Spirit in us in order to recognize the God Spirit.

I can remember being a part of a women's conference and the room was full of excitement, fashionable clothing, lots of holy words, waving hands, shouts of praise...whew, it was a lot going on. But it was sad, because it was just an emotional run...not a God run. The emotion and hoopla lasted for a little while, but when the reality and God's Truth started to flow, only a few of the women truly received it. Don't be a part of the crowd, be a part of The Body.

Today’s Prayer //
“Father, we love You. Give us You. Forgive us for being a part of the crowd and not The Body. We are so grateful for Your lovingkindness and tender mercies.  Please speak to us and guide us to honor You and build Your Kingdom. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in Jesus' name. Amen.
